Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Corporate Accountant in Houston to join a collaborative finance team. The role reports to accounting leadership and focuses on the full-cycle accounting process, with emphasis on accurate reporting, controls, and efficiency improvements.

You will handle journal entries, month-end close activities, intercompany reconciliations, and support for financial reporting and audits.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Proficient in Excel; ERP experience preferred (NetSuite).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and amortization.
• Manage assigned aspects of the month-end close process.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and intercompany transactions.
• Support financial reporting, account analysis, and management reporting.
• Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements and accounting efficiencies.
