Job summary

BST & Co. is seeking a strategic Corporate Accountant to oversee all accounting and financial operations in Northern Kentucky. You will ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, strengthen internal controls, and provide leadership with actionable insights to drive performance and growth.

The role includes leading month-end and year-end closes, budgeting, forecasting, and coordinating external audits. Strong Excel and ERP skills, plus CPA/CMA or MBA, are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required; MBA preferred.
• CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
• 3-10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience managing audits, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to translate financial data into business insights.
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations: general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, financial reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP-compliant statements.
• Lead month-end and year-end close with accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and suggest improvements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including tax.
• Coordinate external audits with auditors and tax advisors.
• Provide financial insights to senior leadership for strategic decisions.
• Manage cash flow, banking, vendor relations, and financial risk.
• Lead and develop the accounting team; foster high performance.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.

• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend improvements
