Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a Corporate Accountant in Houston to join a growing organization’s corporate accounting team. This role provides broad, hands-on responsibilities across multiple entities in a fast-paced environment.

You will support full-cycle accounting, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, assist with monthly close, and help improve processes. There is strong visibility and room for growth within the accounting function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting or related field preferred.
• 2–5+ years of full-cycle general ledger accounting experience.
• Proficiency with journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, and month-end close.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; detail-oriented and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle accounting activities across multiple entities.
• Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly close activities and ensure deadlines are met.
• Record cash activity and support AP/AR functions.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Help with process improvements and special projects.

Corporate Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization to identify a Corporate Accountant for its expanding corporate accounting team. This opportunity is ideal for an accountant who enjoys broad, hands-on responsibilities and wants to gain exposure to multiple entities in a fast-paced environment. The position offers strong visibility, opportunities to improve processes, and room for continued professional growth as the accounting function evolves.

Primary responsibilities of the Corporate Accountant role include:

• Support full-cycle accounting activities across multiple business entities


• Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet account reconciliations


• Assist with monthly close activities and ensure deadlines are met accurately


• Record cash activity and support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions


• Monitor outstanding receivables and help resolve account discrepancies


• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation


• Research accounting issues and assist with practical, timely resolutions


• Partner with the broader accounting team on process improvements and special projects

Primary qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred


• 2-5+ years of full-cycle general ledger accounting experience, ideally in the real estate industry


• Working knowledge of journal entries, reconciliations, AP, AR, and month-end close


• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office


• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlines


• Proactive and dependable team player who can also work independently

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
