This contract-to-hire opportunity is a great next step for an accounting professional who has gained experience in public accounting and is ready to transition into a corporate environment.

The role offers exposure to financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis, with onsite start and a transition to hybrid work, with the intention of finding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a public accounting environment.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and fundamental financial reporting concepts.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Detail-oriented and organized with an interest in building a long-term career within corporate accounting.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting general ledger documentation.
• Review financial results, investigate variances, and help ensure reporting accuracy.
• Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements and related reporting.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting schedules for financial activity.
• Collaborate with the accounting team on analysis, reporting initiatives, and special projects.

The position offers exposure to financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis, along with the opportunity to continue developing under an experienced accounting team. The role will begin onsite before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, with the intention of finding someone interested in a long-term opportunity and potential permanent conversion.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $31.00 per hour
