Job summary

BAC is seeking an experienced Mechanic II to weld water-tight corner and connection joints on galvanized and stainless steel. The role requires proficiency in MIG welding and plasma cutting with the ability to work independently across multiple workstations.

The candidate will train junior mechanics and contribute to safety, quality, and lean improvements in a dynamic shop environment. This full-time, on-site position emphasizes adherence to FPY targets, 5S practices, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Experience in welding on sheet metal in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to weld water-tight joints with MIG and perform plasma cutting.
• Capability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Perform water tight corner and connection welds on galvanized and stainless steel.
• Interpret shop documents and execute cut-out operations with plasma cutting.
• Meet FPY requirements and maintain production pace safely.
• Train junior mechanics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Comply with 5S and lean practices; contribute to waste reduction.
