Job summary

BAC is seeking a Mechanic II to perform water-tight corner and connection welds on various sheet metal in a shop setting. The role requires proficiency in MIG welding and plasma cutting, with ability to work independently and train junior mechanics.

The ideal candidate will interpret shop documents, meet FPY targets, and maintain safety and lean practices on the production floor. This position may involve mentoring and flexible workstation assignments.

Qualifications

• Must pass Class C Welder training & theory tests.
• Proficient in MIG welding and plasma cutting.
• Ability to read welding symbols, fab sheets and BoMs.

Responsibilities

• Weld water-tight corner and connection welds on galvanized and stainless steel.
• Interpret shop documents and perform cut out operations with plasma cutting.
• Meet FPY targets per WPQ and maintain quality standards.
• Train junior mechanics and support safety initiatives.
• Assist in multiple workstations and adapt to schedule changes.
