Job summary

BAC is seeking an experienced Mechanic II to perform water-tight corner and connection welds on galvanized and stainless steel using MIG welding and plasma cutting. You will read fabrication sheets, ensure quality, and train junior mechanics in a safety-conscious environment.

This on-site role in Milford, DE requires independence, strong documentation, and a commitment to Lean 5S and continuous improvement within the welding department.

Qualifications

• Experience welding water-tight joints on galvanized and stainless steel panels.
• Ability to interpret shop documents and fabrication sheets.
• Must pass Class C Welder training and WPQ testing.
• Ability to read welding symbols and engineering drawings.
• Proficient with MIG welding and plasma cutting processes.

Responsibilities

• Weld water-tight corner and connection welds on galvanized and stainless steel.
• Meet FPY requirements as stated in WPQ.
• Train junior mechanics and assist as needed.
• Maintain safety and 5S in the department.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and adapt to multiple workstations.
