BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Core Neutronics Engineer to analyze advanced reactor designs and collaborate across engineering disciplines at its Lynchburg, VA site. The role focuses on neutronics, safety analyses, and integrated design activities within BWXT’s Advanced Technologies Office.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s in engineering or physics, is a U.S. citizen, and can obtain DOE/DOD security clearance; an MS in Nuclear Engineering and experience with MCNP/OpenMC/Serpent are

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics required.
U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain DOE/DOD security clearance.
MS in Nuclear Engineering preferred; familiarity with Monte Carlo tools and deterministic methods is a plus.

Mansioni

Analyze advanced reactor designs across fuel systems, life cycle, and coolants.
Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines on joint teams.
Perform studies from preconceptual to final design and operation.
Apply integrated neutronics, thermal hydraulics, mechanical/stress, and safety analyses.
Support core design projects within BWXT Advanced Technologies Office.
