Job summary

Empower Retirement is seeking a Relationship Manager in the corporate market to strengthen advisor and sponsor partnerships, focusing on plans $10M–$35M in assets. You will drive retention, design collaboration, and educate employees on retirement readiness.

You will travel locally and regionally, working with senior staff on complex issues, and partnering with the local sales team to develop new business opportunities while ensuring compliant plan designs and optimal client outcomes.

Qualifications

• FINRA registrations (6 & 63) required within corporate timelines.
• Life Insurance license required.
• Bachelor degree in Business or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in financial services or related field.
• 2+ years building strategic relationships.
• Foundational ERISA understanding (compliance, plan design, regs).
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own retention and profitability of a book of business (typically $10–$50MM).
• Build and grow relationships with key decision makers.
• Collaborate with plan sponsors and advisors on design, investments, retirement readiness.
• Deliver plan reviews including employee education planning.
• Resolve escalated issues and travel for local/regional meetings.
• Partner with sales to deepen advisor relationships and grow business.
• Collaborate with internal departments to provide solutions.
