Job summary

Empower LLC is seeking a Relationship Manager to strengthen relationships with advisors, plan sponsors, and administrators in the corporate market. The role focuses on assets between $10M and $35M, with travel to local and regional meetings.

You will drive retention, growth, and retirement readiness while coordinating with internal teams. The position requires FINRA 6 & 63, a Life Insurance license, and ERISA knowledge.

Qualifications

• FINRA 6 & 63 registrations within corporate timelines.
• Life Insurance license required.
• FINRA fingerprinting required.
• Bachelor Degree in Business or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years financial services or relevant experience.
• 2+ years building strategic relationships.
• Foundational ERISA concepts knowledge (compliance, plan design, regulatory).
• Introspection and focus on personal and professional development.
• Clear, succinct communication of moderately complex content.
• Ability to organize facts and data to define problems and solutions.
• Basic negotiation and time management skills, with manager oversight.
• May travel within territory; travel primarily by personal vehicle with occasional overnight stays.
• Normal office working conditions from a residential office with dedicated space.

Responsibilities

• Own retention and profitability of a book of business; typical plans range $10–$50MM.
• Build and grow relationships with key decision makers.
• Collaborate with plan sponsors and advisors on plan design, investments, and retirement readiness.
• Deliver plan level reviews including employee education planning.
• Problem-solve escalated issues and partner with local sales teams to deepen advisor relationships.
• Travel for local or regional advisor/client meetings.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide unique solutions.
• Work with senior staff on complex issues, clients, projects, or analyses.
