Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Technologist to analyze laboratory specimens and report results per protocol. This role acts as a resource for Medical Laboratory Technicians and Lab Assistants and supports the Lead Medical Technologist.

Nevada licensure is required; ASCP or equivalent board registration is required to obtain NV license. New graduates must obtain NV provisional license before hire and must obtain a permanent license upon expiration of the provisional license.

Qualifications

• BSMT(ASCP) or equivalent as defined by CLIA’88.
• Three (3) years of as Medical Technologist is preferred.
• Nevada State Licensure as Clinical Laboratory Technologist; ASCP or equivalent board registration/education required to satisfy Nevada License requirements must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Analyze laboratory specimens and report results per laboratory protocol and procedures.
• Serve as a resource for Medical Laboratory Technicians and Lab Assistants.
• Support and assist Lead Medical Technologist.
