Job summary

Advocate Health in Macon, GA is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform laboratory analysis on received specimens, providing clinical information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. You will ensure quality, efficiency, and safety in the performance of assigned technical duties.

The role requires MLS/MT/CLS registration or eligibility, a high school or GED with science coursework, and core lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or GED with science coursework and a college degree as specified.
• Core Lab experience preferred.
• Registration as MLS/MT/CLS or equivalent required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports complex laboratory tests following FDA, CAP, AABB, GDHR and Joint Commission standards.
• Maintains equipment, processes workload efficiently, and ensures safety and quality.
• Troubleshoots testing and QC issues per SOPs and communicates unusual results.
