Novant Health in North Carolina is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform all laboratory procedures, including quality control, specimen collection, processing, testing, and reporting of results. We require an associate degree, one year of experience, and MLT certification or eligibility.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science, or military training or equivalent education.
• One year experience as a laboratory tech; clinical internships may count.
• MLT certification (or eligible) from ASCP or AMT required.
• New graduates must obtain certification within 12 months of hire; CMP/CCP participation where applicable.

Aufgaben

• Perform all laboratory procedures including quality control, specimen processing, testing and reporting of results.
• Assist in evaluation of new or modified techniques when required.
• Train and orient staff on equipment and software as necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of current medical terminology and communicate effectively with medical staff.
• Establish and maintain department quality assurance and safe working relationships with patients and staff.
