Advocate Health’s Carolinas Medical Center – Lab: Pineville is hiring a Laboratory professional to support testing procedures and QA programs. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and MT/MLS or registry eligibility, with MT/ASCP credential within one year of hire.

The position is full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am–5:30 pm with varying schedules. Responsibilities include reagent prep, inventory management to reduce waste, regulatory adherence, and real-time shift communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MT/MLS or registry eligible.
• MT (ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) or equivalent registry required within one year of hire.
• Full-time position in a 40-hour work week; 7am–5:30pm, M-F; varying schedule.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures with QA guidelines.
• Prepares reagents and maintains adequate supply to reduce waste/expense.
• Exercises clinical judgment prioritizing test systems and troubleshooting with specialists as needed.
• Reviews and revises procedures to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements (CAP, TJC, OSHA).
• Maintains clear shift communication with leadership about issues affecting patient care.
• Participates in meetings and projects to implement department changes.
