Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in wood working (table saw, bandsaw, sanders, and routers).
• Able to read tape measure/ruler.
• Able to read blue print(s).
• Basic math: able to add and subtract fractions.
• Able to use computer (Excel, internal systems).
• Knowledge of machines/tools and their uses/maintenance.
• One year of production/manufacturing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Set up pattern and core boxes to run the correct job.
• Maintain and repair minor issues with patterns and core boxes (Bondo/wood working).
• Document workflow in the pattern shop.
• Ensure own safety and the safety of others in the area.
• Perform other duties as required.

Our Hodge Foundry location began operation in 1876 and built a reputation for quality casting from its Greenville, Pennsylvania location. Position: Pattern Shop Setup Technician (starts at $18/hr)

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setting up pattern and core boxes to run the correct job
• Maintain and repair minor issues with patterns and core boxes (Bondo/wood working)
• Documenting and maintaining the workflow going through the pattern shop
• Responsible for own safety and the safety of others in the area
• Perform other duties as required

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Handling and Moving Objects- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and moving materials.
• Controlling Machines and Processes- Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.
• Inspecting Equipment, Structures or Material to identify the cause of errors or other problem s or defects
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Close and distance vision necessary as well as depth perception and ability to see colors.
• Performing General Physical Activities- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials.
• Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.

Job Type:

Full Time. Hourly, non-exempt.
