Job summary

TerraPower is hiring a Core Component Design Manager to lead Natrium fuel assembly design and act as the technical authority for pinned assemblies. You will collaborate with the Fuel Design, Analysis, and Supply teams and interface with regulators and customers to ensure safe, reliable design delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive nuclear engineering experience, and proficiency in CAD/FEA tools, with a focus on safety and quality. Relocation and rigorous qualifications apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in the nuclear industry with relevant engineering degree.
• Experience in discipline design and leadership responsibilities.
• Familiarity with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code and related standards.
• Proficient CAD and FEA tools; ability to work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design of Natrium fuel assemblies and act as technical design authority.
• Interface with regulators, stakeholders, and customers on discipline design issues.
• Support complex analytical work and provide project support.
• Develop tooling and processes for discipline engineering; mentor engineers.
