Job summary

TerraPower LLC in Bellevue, WA seeks a Core Component Design Manager to oversee Natrium fuel assembly designs and serve as technical design authority for pinned assemblies.

You will collaborate with the Natrium Fuel Design, Analysis and Supply teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless design-to-delivery, manage engineering staffing, mentor engineers, and uphold safety and quality standards within a regulated nuclear environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in nuclear industry with relevant degree.
• Experience with ASME codes and CAD tools (SolidWorks).
• Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills; leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Keep management informed of major technical issues.
• Interface with regulators, stakeholders, and customers on design issues.
• Support complex analytical work and project support.
• Mentor engineers and recruit/train discipline staff.
• Ensure design work complies with contract, standards, and safety requirements.
