LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is hiring a Cord Blood Donation Recruitment Specialist in Jacksonville, FL to support cord blood donation initiatives across our community. You will educate families at the bedside, obtain consent, and maintain precise records to ensure compliant collection processes.

The role requires strong communication with medical staff, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to safety, patient education, and teamwork within a non-profit health system.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience: Preferred experience in patient consent, clinical research, hospital outreach, public health fieldwork, labor and delivery, hospitals, obstetrical offices, and/or health/patient education.
• Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact with medical professionals at every level.

Responsabilités

• Obtain informed consent: Educate expectant mothers and families at the bedside regarding cord blood donation and obtain informed consent in accordance with regulatory and ethical standards.
• Maintain accurate records: Complete and submit documentation accurately and within required timelines and follow up on missing information or specimens as needed.
• Ensure compliance: Review and ensure all paperwork related to the collection process is complete and accurate.
• Maintain standards: Ensure collected cord blood units and supplies are stored and shipped properly.
• Coordinate collection logistics: Track consents, tube orders, collections, and shipments to ensure timely completion prior to maternal discharge from hospital.
