Job summary

CooperSurgical in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Lab Technician to process cord blood and cord tissue samples under the Stem Cell Processing leadership team. Responsibilities include maintaining certifications, following safety guidelines, and ensuring accurate record-keeping in a regulated lab environment.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read and interpret safety rules, and to work extended hours as needed to meet daily goals. On-site in Tucson with potential for overtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Laboratory Science or MLT/CLT.
• 1 year of experience working at CBR or in cord blood processing.
• Ability to follow SOPs, safety rules, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process cord blood and cord tissue samples at all trained workstations and maintain certifications.
• Follow safety guidelines; communicate safety issues, deviations, and abnormalities.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure donor, client, and employee confidentiality.
• Perform daily startup/shutdown and general lab maintenance; adhere to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Work extended hours as needed to meet department goals.
