Sledge is hiring a Copywriter to own how Sledge sounds and how it's positioned, across everything with text on it. This role reports to the marketing team. That means the website, the product, marketing, sales, company materials, PR, blogs, news articles, press, outreach, comms, and newsletters. Sledge has a specific voice: plain-spoken, confident, and direct, the way a foreman talks at the end of the day. Every line should pass the Mike test. Would a 45-year-old general contractor say this out loud to another contractor over a beer? If not, it gets rewritten. We want someone who writes it themselves, not someone who prompts a generator. No AI-generated copy. If your samples read like they came out of ChatGPT, this role isn't a fit.
