Jobot is seeking a Permanent Electrical Project Engineer to join our hybrid construction team. You will design, implement, and monitor electrical systems for a range of projects, ensuring compliance with local and national codes and sustainable design practices.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, PE license, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency with AGI and SKM. LEED AP and energy modeling experience are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and PE license required.
• LEED AP certification strongly preferred; Lighting Design Certificate is a plus.
• Experience with energy modeling and local/national electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical systems for construction projects, ensuring compliance with codes.
• Utilize AGI, SKM, and other lighting design tools to create energy-efficient solutions.
• Monitor design and installation processes for high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and PMs to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Incorporate hybrid technologies into designs and stay updated on advancements.
• Apply LEED AP knowledge to promote sustainable design practices.
• Produce energy models and optimize designs accordingly.
• Maintain detailed design and implementation documentation.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement electrical systems for a range of construction projects, ensuring all work adheres to local and national electrical codes
• Utilize AGI, SKM, and other lighting design programs to create energy-efficient lighting solutions
• Monitor the design and installation process to ensure all systems perform to the highest standard
• Work closely with other engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure all electrical components integrate seamlessly with other systems
• Continually update knowledge of hybrid technologies and incorporate these into design work where appropriate
• Utilize LEED AP knowledge to ensure all projects adhere to best practices in sustainable design
• Conduct energy modeling to assess the efficiency of designs and make necessary adjustments
• Use a proactive approach to identify and troubleshoot potential issues before they ariseMaintain detailed documentation of all design and implementation processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• A Professional Engineering License (PE) is required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical project engineering, preferably within the construction industry
• Proficiency in AGI, SKM, and other lighting design programs
• LEED AP certification is strongly preferred
• A Lighting Design Certificate is an asset
• Demonstrated experience in energy modeling
• Strong knowledge of local and national electrical codes
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Passion for sustainability and a strong desire to promote energy-efficient design solutions
• Willingness to stay updated on the latest advancements in hybrid technologies and incorporate these into design work.
