Jobot is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer (EIT/PE) in Fort Lauderdale, FL for a hybrid role. You will lead electrical power and lighting design for institutional and commercial projects, from concept through construction, coordinating with architecture and other MEP disciplines.

Candidates should have 6–8+ years in engineering consulting, be proficient with AutoCAD and Revit, and either hold or pursue an EIT/PE license.

• 6-8+ years of experience in engineering consulting.
• Experience with electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, and building systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit software.
• EIT or PE license desired.

Responsibilities

Job Details

Seeking Electrical Design Engineer to join our Team. Successful candidates will 6-8+ years of Engineering Consulting experience. Ideal candidates will have experience with engineering consulting firms, electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, and building systems for institutional and commercial buildings, as well as proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
• EIT or PE License Desired
• 6-8+ years of experience in designing and managing MEP Projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit Software
• Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.
• Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Experience with Educational, Healthcare, Hospitality, Mixed-Use, Multi-Family, and Civic/Institutional/Municipal Projects.
• Ability to mentor junior level staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated familiarity with Local Building Codes & Standards.
• Strong technical leadership and management skills.

Preferred, Not Required

• LEED Accredited Professional and previous experience participating in the LEED or other green rating system process
• Experience and interest in sustainable building design.
