Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program.
• Licensed in the state of practice and RRT certification.
• Pulmonary Disease Educator Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Current BLS certification and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured inpatient education for COPD patients.
• Reinforce inhaler and oxygen use and assess readiness for discharge.
• Identify high risk patients prior to discharge and coordinate transitions.
• Collaborate with quality, case management and outpatient providers.
