Job summary

You will serve as a respiratory disease expert, providing individualized instruction, coaching, and advocacy to improve adherence, manage symptoms, and enhance quality of life. Travel to offices and facilities is required.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in acute care, home care, pulmonary rehabilitation, or patient education.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Experience educating patients and caregivers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide education to patients with pulmonary conditions including COPD and asthma.
• Teach inhaler, nebulizer, and respiratory equipment techniques.
• Educate on medication adherence, self-management, and lifestyle changes.
• Develop individualized educational plans to improve outcomes and reduce hospitalizations.
• Serve as clinical resource for patients, caregivers, and care teams.
• Promote smoking cessation and tobacco treatment interventions.
• Maintain documentation in electronic health record systems.
• Travel locally to education sites as needed.
