Mercy South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a COPD Educator (RT with COPD expertise) to deliver structured inpatient education and reinforce inhaler and oxygen use. You will identify high-risk patients prior to discharge and coordinate care with quality, case management and outpatient providers.

Coordinates and/or provides respiratory-related education to patients and clinic coworkers. Collaborates as a member of a Hospital- and Clinic-based team with Physicians, Quality, Care Management & Clinic leaders to evaluate and plan for the educational needs of the patient. Ability to effectively communicate with providers and co-workers to promote health behaviors identified for optimal disease management with patients and families. Serves as a clinical resource or consultant in respiratory related conditions. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
