Capital Choice Pathology Lab within Adventist HealthCare seeks an LIS/Data Management Technician to design, implement, and maintain CoPath workflows for surgical and diagnostic pathology. You will configure interfaces with EHRs, billing systems, and reference labs, and generate regulatory, operational, and quality reports using SQL and Excel tools.

Responsibilities include production support, data validation, and reporting to support clinical and financial decisions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, health informatics, medical laboratory science, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• 1+ years of experience configuring, developing, supporting, or optimizing CoPath, CoPathPlus, or a comparable laboratory information system. Experience supporting anatomic pathology workflows, SQL-based report writing and data analysis, healthcare interfaces, testing, and production issue resolution.
• Supervisory or management experience is not required. HL7, ITIL, or another applicable healthcare IT certification is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, configure, and maintain CoPath functionality supporting anatomic pathology workflows, including accessioning, case management, gross examination, histology, cytology, result entry, case sign-out, and reporting.
• Develop and support interfaces between CoPath and EHR, billing systems, reference laboratories, instruments, digital pathology platforms, and other applications; write, validate, document, and optimize queries, report logic, templates, dictionaries, rules, and data extracts.
• Monitor and support production services in a 24x7 healthcare environment; triage incidents, analyze defects, perform root-cause analysis, restore service, and coordinate fixes with users and vendors.
• Manage, validate, and maintain pathology data for accuracy, integrity, accessibility, and regulatory compliance; perform data analysis, reconciliation using SQL and advanced Excel tools; support reporting needs.
• Plan and execute unit, integration, regression, and user-acceptance testing for enhancements, patches, upgrades, and interfaces; support change control, deployment, validation, and post-production monitoring.
• Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory staff, informatics, cybersecurity, infrastructure, vendors, and stakeholders to prioritize work and improve system usability, reliability, and efficiency; ensure privacy, security, and regulatory requirements are met.
