The Philadelphia Union is seeking a Video Production Coordinator to creatively bring brand stories to life across digital, social, broadcast, in-stadium and other platforms.

The role reports to the Manager, Video Production and manages projects from concept to final delivery, prioritizing needs, collaborating across the organization, and traveling for selected away matches and events.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, produce, shoot, and edit video projects from concept through final delivery.
  • Determine creative/technical approaches based on objectives, audience, platform, and brand.
  • Lead on-location and studio productions including interviews and campaigns.
  • Make decisions on shot composition, lighting, audio, and interview presentation.
  • Operate cameras, lighting, audio, and related gear.
  • Capture content during matches, fan experiences, and behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Travel for away matches and events as required.
  • Edit short- and long-form videos with strong storytelling and pacing.
  • Create platform-specific versions for social, web, and broadcast.
  • Add graphics, music, color correction, and post-production elements.

About The Role

The Video Production Coordinator is a creative, hands-on individual contributor responsible for independently producing compelling video content that brings the Philadelphia Union brand and stories to life across digital, social, broadcast, in-stadium, marketing, and other platforms. Reporting to the Manager, Video Production, this position manages assigned video projects from concept through final delivery and exercises independent creative judgment regarding storytelling approach, production techniques, shot selection, editing, pacing, and final presentation. The ideal candidate combines strong creative instincts with technical production expertise and sound judgment. This role requires the ability to independently prioritize projects, make creative and production decisions, collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, and adapt quickly in the fast-paced environment of professional sports.

Responsibilities
  • Independently plan, produce, shoot, and edit assigned video projects from concept through final delivery.
  • Determine appropriate creative and technical approaches for assigned productions based on project objectives, audience, platform, and brand standards.
  • Lead the execution of assigned on-location and studio productions, including player and coach interviews, promotional shoots, podcasts, marketing campaigns, community events, corporate partnership activations, and other organizational initiatives.
  • Make creative decisions regarding shot composition, lighting, audio, camera setup, interview presentation, and other production elements.
  • Operate professional cameras, lighting, audio, and related production equipment.
  • Capture compelling content during Philadelphia Union home matches, including match action, fan experiences, behind-the-scenes moments, interviews, and other storytelling opportunities.
  • Identify and capture relevant content opportunities as they arise during matches, events, practices, and other live environments.
  • Travel is required for select Philadelphia Union away matches throughout the season to capture and produce team content. Additional travel may be required for organizational events, activations, tournaments, and other business needs.
Editing & Post-Production
  • Independently edit short-and long-form video projects, exercising creative judgment regarding story structure, footage selection, pacing, music, graphics, sound, and overall presentation.
  • Develop platform-specific versions of content for social media, web, broadcast, in-stadium presentation, and other digital channels.
  • Incorporate graphics, animation, music, sound design, color correction, and other post-production elements as appropriate.
