Qualifications

Department: NE Student Support Services

Compensation Details: Starting Pay - 70,400; Commensurate with education and experience

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm; Hours may vary occasionally due to evening and weekend programming and events.

Remote Eligible: This position is not eligible for remote work

Job Summary

This role is responsible for supporting student care coordination, non-clinical case management, prevention education, and CARE Team support. The Coordinator conducts student outreach, facilitates resource referrals, maintains case records, and assists with programs and initiatives that promote student well-being, retention, and success.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements*
  • Conducts non-clinical case management for students referred through CARE, student conduct, academic, and grievance processes by assessing needs, coordinating resources, and providing follow-up support
  • Initiates outreach and maintains communication with students experiencing academic, personal, or basic-needs challenges to support persistence, retention, and well-being
  • Coordinates referrals to campus and community resources and monitors student engagement with recommended services and support programs
  • Maintains assigned cases, preparing case updates, documenting interventions, maintaining accurate records in Maxient and other institutional systems, and assisting with follow-up actions.
  • Consults and collaborates with faculty, staff, students, and community partners to facilitate coordinated support services and appropriate referral pathways for students of concern
  • Assists with the planning, coordination, promotion, and delivery of prevention education programs, workshops, trainings, and awareness initiatives for students, faculty, and staff
  • Collects, tracks, and compiles assessment data, participant feedback, and program outcomes to support departmental reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Supports departmental reporting, data collection, and assessment activities related to student success, wellness, prevention education, and CARE Team initiatives
  • Assists with special projects, outreach initiatives, educational campaigns, and other departmental activities that advance the goals of Student Conduct, CARE, Prevention Education, and Student Affairs
Service Excellence
  • Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
  • Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision
  • Works under the supervision of the assigned campus leader

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree three (3) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field
  • At least two (2) years working experience in Student Affairs, case management, behavioral intervention, student conduct, CARE/Behavioral Intervention Teams, or student support services
  • At least 1 year’s working experience using Maxient or comparable case-management systems
  • At least one (1) year’s professional working experience in a higher education environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Skilled in delivering high-quality customer service and building effective interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Skilled in using computer applications and enterprise systems, including the Microsoft Office suite and the Microsoft 365 platform
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly ensuring accurate and timely completion, while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in collaborative environments, engaging with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Ability to identify routine issues and elevate non-standard problems using established procedures in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to coordinate assigned work and communicate effectively with faculty and staff to support campus and departmental operations
  • Ability to maintain a high level of diplomacy and tact, ensuring confidentiality and discretion with sensitive and confidential information
