Energy Transfer Partners is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support the preemployment and onboarding process for new hires at its Dallas, TX onsite location. In this role, you will administer key screening activities, coordinate documentation timelines, and help ensure each hire completes required steps accurately and on time.
This position administers the preemployment process, including background checks, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks, scheduling drug testing and occupational health exams, and ensuring I-9s are completed timely. The coordinator also supports new hire relocation coordination, along with DOT verifications and history checks as part of the overall hiring workflow.
What you will do
- Administer pre-employment screening processes, including background checks.
- Administer pre-employment screening processes, including Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks.
- Coordinate drug and alcohol testing and scheduling requirements.
- Schedule and support occupational health exams as part of onboarding.
- Ensure timely completion of I-9 employment verification.
- Coordinate new hire relocation requests with third-party vendors.
- Process Department of Transportation (DOT) verifications and history checks.
- Build strong partnerships with recruiters, HR Generalists, hiring managers, and candidates.
- Track onboarding activities and ensure all hiring requirements are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the onboarding experience.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant HR, onboarding, recruiting support, or compliance experience.
- Must demonstrate integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve problems by recognizing issues and addressing them directly.
- Personable, positive, and enthusiastic approach with the capability to work effectively with people.
- Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.

- Experience using Microsoft Office products.
Preferred qualifications
- Associate degree in a related field.
- Experience with PeopleSoft.
- Experience with Taleo (preferred).
- Experience with Workday.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, including FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration).
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, including PHMSA (Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration).
- Knowledge of drug and alcohol testing requirements.
