Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or related field and two years in a managerial or supervisory role, or six years of related experience with two years in a supervisory role.
  • Bachelor's degree in education, administration, public administration, or related administrative field and four years of program management experience in an educational setting.

Job Description

Job Summary The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) – Office of Federal Programs is recruiting for Coordinated Federal Programs Manager.

Job Responsibilities
  • Providing management and oversight of multiple federal grants included in the coordinated service and support model.
  • Leading a team in implementing a streamlined service and support model, where Specialists serve as the LEA’s single point of contact for multiple federal programs while providing coordinated support focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Supervising staff using current and widely accepted management principles to maximize human, financial, and technical resources.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistency and alignment across programs in the key components of a structured grant cycle (i.e., plans, budgets, monitoring, and other statutory requirements) for multiple federal programs.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to proactively develop and deliver high-quality training and technical assistance to LEAs.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to design and build resources and guidance documents to support LEAs with federal grant cycle topics and the continuous improvement process.
  • Maintaining clear and positive communication between divisions/units at GaDOE and with LEAs.
  • Preparing accurate reports and other documents that communicate clearly and adequately related to the areas of responsibility.

Note: Occasional statewide travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hold Georgia professional educator certification
  • Expertise in the federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) as reauthorized under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) of 2015
  • Experience managing and leading personnel
  • Experience implementing comprehensive school reform programs or initiatives
  • Experience with and knowledge of consolidating federal, state, and local funds in Title I schoolwide programs
  • Successful experience with designing, planning, developing, and conducting professional learning programs
  • Experience with state procurement and purchasing procedures
  • Highly effective interpersonal, group, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience in data analysis and interpretation using a variety of software solutions
  • Demonstrate success in self-motivation/initiative and leadership and the continuous improvement process
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with colleagues, school personnel, staff, students, and other support agencies or organizations
  • Ability to manage multiple, overlapping, high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or a related field which includes two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role; or six (6) years of related professional experience which includes two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role. Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over year.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in education, administration, public administration, or a related administrative field in the area of assignment from an accredited college or university, L-5 certification, and four (4) years of program management experience in an educational setting.
