Job description

Job Summary

Responsible for the safe, efficient and continuous operation of the hospital’s primary mechanical systems and controls to include, but not limited to, HVAC system, steam plant systems, medical gas systems, emergency generation system, and various other mechanical devices as required. This is a high-level position with tremendous responsibility, and is relied upon heavily for support and results.

Job Responsibilities
  • Functions as departmental resource for HVAC equipment and systems.
  • Performs general and preventive maintenance on a wide range of plant equipment.
  • Ensures operational reliability of major equipment and systems.
  • Documents preventative maintenance performed on assigned equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining an inventory of parts that may be needed for repairs.
  • Ensures reliable operation of equipment and systems according to design and manufacturer’s specifications. Performs other related functions as assigned.
Qualifications
  • EPA Technician certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • 10 years experience required
