Job summary

Job description

Position Summary

Operates, maintains, and repairs equipment in the central plant and all HCA – North Cypress buildings.

Responsibilities
  • Apply engineering practices throughout the campus, including repairs and maintenance of all utility systems.
  • Ensure tasks are completed according to policy and procedure, JACHO, NFPA 99, Life Safety Code 101, TDH licensing standards, and all other NFPA codes as required.
  • Participate and respond to all hospital emergencies, including fire, bomb threats, disaster codes, security codes, and other emergencies as directed by the department supervisor and director.
  • Cooperate with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations and collaborative integration of the health‑care team.
  • Demonstrate accountability for the functionality of all hospital equipment.
  • Assist in enforcing safety policies and protocols under the supervision of the department director.
  • Conduct professional practice at all times.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, such as data collection and quality control.
  • Show respect for cultural values and differences.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or GED.
  • No travel required.
  • Minimum experience in engineering and HVAC technical training.
  • Operating engineer license, HVAC license, and HVAC universal certification.
