Qualifications

• Must hold or be willing to obtain a Sanitation license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with kitchen setup and equipment to run efficiently.
• Record and maintain temperatures of equipment and food in logs.
• Follow portions and diet plans per Federal and State guidelines.
• Prepare palatable, presentable hot and cold foods for residents, families and staff.
• Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and supplies after shift.
• Assist cook with breakfast and lunch preparation.
• Handle salads, meats, baking and prep of raw fruits/vegetables.
• Prepare salad bar presentation as needed.
• Adhere to call-in procedures and be flexible to staffing changes.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Preparation of kitchen, including supplies and equipment to run efficiently2. Record and maintain temperatures of equipment and food in appropriate logs3. Follow and monitor portions and diet plans according to Federal and State guidelines4. Prepare palatable, presentable hot and cold foods for residents, families and staff according to appropriate diets5. Follow all food safety protocols6. Follow all proper cleaning/sanitation procedures and thoroughly clean and sanitize personal work areas, equipment, and supplies7. Prepares and assists cook in preparation of breakfast and lunch8. Prepares cold salads, hot/cold/raw meats, baking and the handling of raw fruits and vegetables9. Prepare and assist with salad bar presentation10. Clean, sweep and sanitize your area at the end of each shift11. Be open and flexible to changes in positions and duties for the appropriate staffing situation12.
