Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking team members for the UNC-Asheville store at 8 College Street, Asheville NC. You will greet guests, take orders, and bake warm cookies while delivering a friendly, efficient experience.

The role includes handling payments, assisting customers, and maintaining bakery cleanliness. Basic customer service experience is preferred; must be 18+, able to lift 40 lb, and available nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience in a customer service focused role - preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lb boxes of product.
• Must be 18 years or older to be employed.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Promptly greet guests entering the store and take their orders according to procedure.
• Help customers understand menu items, answer clarifying questions, and repeat orders for accuracy.
• Give each customer a warm experience with a smile in person and over the phone.
• Bake our delicious cookies to perfection and a scoop of ice cream.
• Ensure fast, warm, and correct delivery orders are packaged and sent out.
• Handle cash and payments accurately and have no shortages or overages.
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the bakery.
