Job summary

Insomniacookies is seeking a friendly, customer-focused team member for the Santa Cruz store. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure accuracy while baking fresh cookies and serving ice cream. You will also assist with cash handling and keeping the bakery clean.

The role supports part-time scheduling with growth opportunities in a fast-paced, fun team environment, located at 1010 Pacific Ave, Santa Cruz, CA.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a customer service focused role is preferred.
• Personable, genuine, and outgoing demeanor.
• Ambitious nature with good communication.
• Strong organizational skills and reliability.
• Must be 18 or older to be employed and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Availability for nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take orders according to procedures.
• Assist customers with menu items and confirm orders for accuracy.
• Provide a warm in-person and phone experience with a smile.
• Bake cookies and scoop ice cream as needed.
• Package and deliver orders accurately and promptly.
• Handle cash with accuracy and avoid shortages or overages.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery.

As a member of the Cookie Crew at our Santa Cruz, CA store located at 1010 Pacific Ave. STE C & D, Santa Cruz, CA 95060, you are the ultimate Insomniac. Not only are you the point person at the front of the store for interacting with our customers, but you also get to bake all of our warm and delicious cookies as well!

Responsibilities

• Promptly greet guests entering the store and take their orders according to procedure
• Help customers understand menu items, answer clarifying questions, and repeat orders for accuracy
• Give each customer a warm experience with a smile in person and over the phone
• Bake our delicious cookies to perfection and a scoop of ice cream
• Ensure fast, warm, and correct delivery orders are packaged and sent out
• Handle cash and payments accurately and have no shortages or overages
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the bakery
