Job summary

Office of State Human Resources in North Carolina is hiring for a Cook (S) in a temporary position at the Hyde County location. The role focuses on preparing and cooking all meals during scheduled times, supports menu planning with the supervisor, and upholds strict cleaning and sanitary standards in the food service area.

Successful candidates will have one year of related food preparation experience or education and may need Serv Safe certification.

• Ensure dining room is set up for meals and that food served is appealing and appetizing while maintaining the highest of health standards.

This temporary position is located at 2 Irvin Garrish Hwy., Ocracoke - Hyde County, with the Department of Public Instruction.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $20.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
