Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated food service cook to prepare, cook, season and portion meals for patients, residents, staff, and visitors. You will follow menus and dietary requirements while maintaining high standards of safety and sanitation in a dynamic hospital kitchen.

Responsibilities include adhering to HACCP guidelines, labeling and storing food properly, and collaborating with coworkers to ensure timely service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Serv Safe may be required depending on location.
• Basic math skills required and ability to read/write and follow directions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, cook, season and portion food for patients/residents, staff and visitors in accordance with menus and dietary requirements.
• Adhere to food quality standards for appearance, taste, temperature and sanitation.
• Perform washing and cleaning duties to ensure sanitation and cleanliness in cooking and serving areas.
• Label, store and manage food, equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and document temperature controls and outcomes.
