Job summary

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a full-time Cook for the day shift to prepare and serve meals for patients, residents, staff and visitors, following menus and dietary requirements.

You will adhere to HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitation, operate kitchen equipment, and collaborate with teammates to deliver high-quality, safe food in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions; basic math skills required.
• Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Serv Safe may be required to obtain, depending on location; Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to food quality standards of appearance, taste, temperature and sanitation.
• Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery; documents HACCP steps and temperatures.
• Works with internal customers and demonstrates strong communication and teamwork.
• Follows recipes and HACCP guidelines to prepare, store and use food and food products.
