Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated LTC Cook to prepare, portion and serve meals for patients and staff in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will follow menus, HACCP guidelines and safety standards while working with a supportive team.

Typical shifts are early morning with weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. ServSafe certification and basic math skills are preferred, and a sign-on bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ServSafe certification may be required within designated time.
• Basic math and ability to read and follow written directions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to food quality standards for appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation.
• Perform washing and cleaning duties to maintain sanitation in cooking and serving areas.
• Maintain labeling and storage of food, equipment, and supplies; follow HACCP guidelines.
• Prepare and provide high-quality, safe food for patients/residents, staff, and visitors.
• Operate kitchen equipment and follow production sheets for daily/weekly menus.
• Communicate with internal customers, ensuring timely service and accuracy.
