The Reserve at Pearland Senior Living Community is currently hiring Cooks. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, appealing, and quality food for residents and guests, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and complying with all company and state food regulations.

• This role is scheduled for evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food according to the daily menu planner, using standardized recipes, in a timely manner.
• Conduct a pre-meal meeting with food servers to review the daily menu details.
• Work the food line during mealtime.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment, adhering to sanitation schedules.
• Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and recorded.
• Keep stock rooms, coolers, and freezers clean; ensure food supplies are properly rotated, labeled, and dated.
• Minimize food waste through proper storage and recycling techniques.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of related experience.
• Experience in senior living settings is a plus.
• Obtain and maintain any required local, state, or county food handling and sanitation licenses or certificates.
