You will be part of an experienced, dedicated team that values communication and teamwork.
A cook and dietary aide prepares delicious, nourishing, and well-balanced meals to meet the nutritional and dietary needs of each guest. Specifically, the cook:
Follows standardized recipes
Prepares foods according to menu cycles developed by registered dietitians
Cooks or prepares appetizing, well-presented, and nutritionally adequate meals at proper temperatures and within designated timeframes
Uses food supplies and equipment efficiently to prevent waste
Prepares food alternatives to accommodate guest preferences and meal refusals
Supervises culinary staff regarding food storage, preparation, tray assembly, and cleaning
In the absence of the chef or dietary manager, the cook supervises culinary staff.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One year of experience as a cook or dietary aide in an institutional food service setting preferred
