Description

Our busy quick-service restaurant is looking for a Cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced atmosphere. We need someone to prepare food stations, cook a large volume of food, and ensure that all food safety and storage rules are followed. Our ideal applicant has prior food industry experience, preferably in fast food, quick service, or fast-casual restaurants, as well as a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Verify the temperature of cooked food using a thermometer to make sure it's safe to consume
• Guarantee that quality food is supplied by following specified storage and waste control requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products
• Clean and sanitize all workstations, including counters, utensils, cooking equipment, and the refrigerator, in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Prepare meals in accordance with the instructions printed on food order tickets or delivered verbally by staff
• Ready food stations by washing, cutting, dicing, and chopping items needed for food prep

Qualifications

• Must be able to meet all safety and sanitation requirements of kitchen equipment and food storage
• Needs to be able to multitask, prioritize, and have excellent time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members
• Previous experience working in fast food or quick service restaurant is preferred
• Possesses a strong work ethic and have high attention to detail

Compensation

$14 hourly
