Job summary

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner for patients and staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets, ensuring dietary needs are met and food safety standards are followed.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent, at least two years in quantity cooking, basic knowledge of modified diets, Food Handler Certification, and ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years’ experience in quantity cooking is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of modified diets and sanitation practices.
• Experience with industrial kitchen equipment is expected.
• Food Handler Certification is required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner for patients and staff.
• Follow approved menu cycles and production sheets.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.

Education

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.


• Two (2) years’ experience in quantity cooking, preferred; basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils.


• Will be required to complete Food Handler Certification


• Must have or be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
