Job summary

Sierra Medical Center is seeking a Cook to support patient meals, staff and visitors under supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services leadership. The role prepares items according to recipes, manages inventory, and ensures meals are delivered on time in a hospital setting.

Requirements include 1-3 years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and ServSafe certification within 6 months of hire. Comprehensive benefits accompany a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• One to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe Certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Determines types and quantities of all foods to be prepared by reviewing planned menus and tallies.
• Monitors low in supply items and communicates needs to Director/Supervisor.
• Ensures meals are ready at specified times and uses leftovers appropriately.
• Prepares all foods according to approved recipes and presentation standards.
