Job summary

UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital Gainesville is seeking a Cook for PRN/Per-diem status in Gainesville, FL. You will prepare foods for patients, staff and guests, and support the dietary team to maintain quality service.

In the absence of the Manager, you will supervise the dietary staff and ensure proper sanitation, safety and infection control policies are followed. A minimum of one year cooking experience is required; a High School diploma or equivalent is preferred and a Culinary Arts degree

Qualifications

  • One (1) year cooking experience required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Culinary Arts degree preferred.
  • Completion of state or local food safety training course preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare foods for patients, staff, and guests.
  • Assist with general cleaning of the cooking and eating areas.
  • In the absence of the Manager, supervise the dietary staff and ensure sanitation, safety and infection control policies are followed.
  • Maintain high standards of quality food production and portion control.

Schedule: PRN

Compensation: $19.00/hr.

You will prepare foods for patients, staff, and guests, and may assist with general cleaning of the cooking and eating areas. In the absence of the Manager, the Cook supervises the dietary staff, ensuring that our facility and departmental policies and procedures are adhered to, and that proper sanitation, safety and infection control policies are being followed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • One (1) year cooking experience required.
