Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Cook / Pizza Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for quality food. This role is responsible for preparing pizzas and supporting general kitchen operations while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and speed of service.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and standards
• Stretch dough, top pizzas accurately, and operate pizza ovens (deck, conveyor, or wood-fired, if applicable)
• Assist with general line cooking, prep work, and station setup
• Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards
• Ensure consistency in product quality, portioning, and presentation
• Keep station clean, organized, and stocked throughout service
• Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff during service
• Assist with receiving, labeling, and rotating inventory (FIFO)
• Follow all health department and company policies

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cook or pizza cook preferred
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Food handler certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for 6-8 hours per shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to travel up and down stairs multiple times during the shift
