Cook (Part-Time) - Embassy Suites by Hilton Dorado del Mar Beach Resort (Finance)

The Embassy Suites Dorado del Mar Beach Resort is looking for their next Cook to join their team.

Embassy Suites Dorado del Mar Beach Resort, located on Puerto Rico's northern coast, offers a private beachfront with views of the Atlantic Ocean. It is just 10 minutes from Manuel Morales Beach and 21 miles from central San Juan. Guests can relax in the outdoor lagoon-style pool with ocean views and enjoy made-to-order breakfast and complimentary evening receptions.

Ideal Candidate: Full availability, 1 year of cook experience, a culinary degree, and food safety certification.

Shift Pattern: Full availability with rotating shifts throughout the week.

Pay Rate: $11.50 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes according to company guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas, ensuring no cross-contamination.
• Prepare mis-en-place for relevant menus.
• Assist other departments as needed and foster good working relationships.
• Report maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues.
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, health, safety, and food safety legislation.
• Strive to meet departmental targets and be environmentally conscious.

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 1 (required), Level 2 (advantageous)
• Positive attitude and good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and independently or in a team
• Previous kitchen experience in a similar role (advantageous)
• Basic food hygiene certification (advantageous)
