Job summary

Greenville Post Acute in Greenville, SC is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals, follow approved menus and dietary guidelines, and keep a clean, sanitary kitchen environment. You may assist in supervising kitchen operations when the Dietary Supervisor is absent.

The role requires at least 1 year of cooking experience, ServSafe certification, knowledge of food safety and sanitation, and familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC). Teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of cooking experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certification
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and dietary needs
• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and dietary guidelines
• Ensure compliance with special and therapeutic diets, including texture-modified meals
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and portion control standards
• Monitor and record food temperatures
• Assist with meal service and ensure appealing food presentation
• Maintain proper sanitizer levels and follow cleaning schedules
• Clean kitchen equipment, work areas, and serving carts
• Collaborate with dietary team and other departments
• Report resident concerns or issues to leadership as needed
• Supervise kitchen operations in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor
