Job summary

Cherrydale Post Acute in Greenville, SC is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve meals in a clean, sanitary kitchen under our supportive team. You will follow approved menus, assist with plating, and may take on leadership in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of cooking experience, preferably in a hospital or long-term care setting.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certification.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and dietary restrictions.
• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure meals meet dietary restrictions and special diets.
• Maintain kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
• Follow portion control standards and food safety procedures.
• Monitor and record food temperatures.
• Assist with meal service and plating to ensure appealing presentation.
• Supervise kitchen operations in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
• Maintain sanitizer solutions and follow cleaning schedules.
• Clean cooking equipment, serving carts, and kitchen areas.
• Collaborate with staff across departments to support resident care.
• Report any resident concerns to leadership.

Position Summary

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. You may also take on leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.

• Maintain sanitizer solutions and follow cleaning schedules
