Maschio's Food Service Inc. in Edison, NJ, is seeking an experienced Cook for our school food service team. You will prepare nutritious meals for students in a fast-paced environment, following NSLP guidelines and recipes.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday day shift with 6–8 hours per day, no weekends or holidays, and summers off. ServSafe certification is a plus, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualificações

• Previous cooking experience in a school or food service setting.
• K-12 school food service experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of NSLP guidelines and portion standards.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely.
• Ability to obtain required documentation and clearances to work in a school setting.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold meals.
• Follow menus, recipes, portion sizes, and NSLP production standards.
• Ensure food is prepared, handled, and served safely.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Wear required PPE at all times as directed by safety procedures.
• Assist with stocking, organizing, and rotating food and supplies.
• Serve meals to students in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and serving area.
• Collaborate with the food service team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold meals.
• Follow menus, recipes, portion sizes, and production standards in accordance with National School Lunch Program (NSLP) guidelines.
• Ensure food is prepared, handled, and served safely.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times as directed by safety procedures.
• Assist with stocking, organizing, and rotating food and supplies.
• Serve meals to students in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and serving area.
• Work collaboratively with the food service team to ensure smooth daily operations.
